SwingSight Coach (“the app”, “we”, “us”) is a golf swing analysis and coaching app. This policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and your choices. We’ve kept it plain and specific to how the app actually works.

• You don’t need an account.  There is no sign-up or login. Your data stays on your device unless described below.
• Your swing videos stay on your phone. Video is recorded and analysed directly on your device. Videos are never uploaded to us or anyone else.
• We don’t sell your data, show you ads, or track you across other apps or websites.

Information the app handles

Swing videos and photos. When you record or import a swing, the video is stored on your device and the motion analysis runs on your device. Your videos are not uploaded.

AI swing analysis. When you choose to analyse a swing (by tapping “AI Analyse”), the app sends a single still image of the on-screen pose overlay, together with numeric measurements of the swing (such as body angles and rotation figures), to a third-party artificial-intelligence service to generate feedback. This happens only when you tap to analyse. No video is sent — only that one still image and the numbers.

Location. If you allow location access, the app uses your location to find nearby golf courses and to provide weather information. To do this, your location is sent to the relevant course-search and weather services. On-course distance calculations are performed on your device.

Coaching information (for coaches). If you use the coaching features and enter client details or notes, that information is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to us.

Camera and microphone. The app uses your camera to record swings and your microphone to record optional voice-over notes. These are used only for those features.

Permissions

The app asks for camera, microphone, and location permissions to provide the features above. All are optional — the app still works if you decline, but the related features (recording swings, voice notes, nearby courses and weather) will be unavailable. You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.

Third-party services

To provide certain features, limited information is sent to third-party services:

• • AI analysis provider — a still image and numeric swing measurements are sent to a third-party AI service (currently Google’s Gemini model, accessed via Rork’s toolkit service) to generate swing feedback, only when you tap “AI Analyse”.

• Course search and weather — your location is sent to the services that provide nearby-course results and weather data.

These providers process the information to deliver the requested feature. We do not sell your information, and the app contains no advertising or cross-app tracking.

Data retention

Your swings, rounds, and any coaching notes are stored on your device and remain there until you delete them or remove the app. Because there are no accounts, we do not hold a copy of your content on our servers.

Children’s privacy

The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• Decline or revoke camera, microphone, or location permission at any time in device settings.
• Delete individual swings, rounds, or notes within the app.
• Remove all local data by deleting the app.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
